Studio Art
Experiences in Studio Art

The bachelor of fine arts studio art program educates visually articulate artists with a solid foundation in the conceptual, technical, historical, and professional aspects of the visual arts through a broad range of studio and academic experiences. The studio art program has seven studio disciplines that provide outstanding opportunities for students to study in a range of areas including ceramics, drawing, expanded media, metals, painting, printmaking, and sculpture. The program culminates in the capstone thesis course, a final thesis portfolio, and thesis exhibition. The student experience may include optional membership in student organizations, study abroad, internships, exhibitions, and community events.
