Education (Special Education)
Experiences in Special Education

Teachers and teacher leaders for all levels (early childhood through grade twelve) complete the bachelor of science degree in education. Teacher certification in all-level special education provides training in general education core curriculum as well as courses in subject matter areas known as blocks: English as a second language, high school field-based curriculum, elementary field-based curriculum, and student teaching. Students may participate in faculty-led study abroad or Study in America trips, learn with peers in Living and Learning Communities, develop a professional community at networking events, or join student organizations for a well-rounded experience.
