Recreation & Sport Management

Students of the bachelor of science major in recreation and sport management learn to provide programs and services which improve overall quality of life through recreation and sport. Coursework guides students to design, implement, and evaluate recreation and sport programs, and develop those skills through course related hands-on recreation and sport experiences. Within the broad area of recreation and sport services, students select from three concentration options: recreation, sport, and event management; outdoor recreation; and recreational therapy. Students may participate in faculty-led study abroad or Study in America trips, develop a professional community at association or networking events, or join student organizations for a well-rounded experience.
