Experiences in Public Health

The bachelor of science major in public health is ideal for students interested in careers in community and public health settings. The program prepares students to use specialized knowledge and skills for disease prevention, including epidemiology, environmental health, health disparities, health communications and social marketing, behavior science, and health program planning to promote individual, community, and public health. Strong research programs and labs, experiential learning, and community-engaged learning are incorporated into the program. Students may participate in faculty-led study abroad or Study in America trips, develop a professional community at association or networking events, or join student organizations for a well-rounded experience.
