Philosophy
Experiences in Philosophy

The philosophy major nurtures skills of thinking and communicating well. Students establish baseline preparation for advanced study in any field in a curriculum which carefully considers the challenges and opportunities facing individuals and communities. Students become knowledgeable in the discipline of philosophy and its applications, learn critical and moral thinking skills, and develop skills in research and public dialogue. The student experience includes opportunities for membership in student organizations, honor societies, study abroad and more.
