The major in international relations offers a range of experiences, transferable skills and foundational knowledge essential for critical thinking in global or intercultural contexts, the ability to communicate effectively across cultures, and success in global endeavors. Students examine world politics, economics, history and language. Comparative studies in past and present conditions may be customized by students to focus on areas and issues of interest. The program requires students to complete a study abroad or complete an internship with Center approval. Students may further develop a professional community at association or networking events or join student organizations for a well-rounded experience.
