Experiences in German

The bachelor of arts in German is intellectually challenging and supported by world-class teaching, research, and service. Students learn to think critically, write and speak professionally, and develop expertise in the German language and culture. The program provides quality educational experiences and mentoring in a welcoming, close-knit community of award-winning faculty and engaged students. It is committed to the principles of academic freedom, diversity of people and ideas, and a global perspective. Teacher certification in early childhood through twelfth grade is available. Students in the program may participate in internships and student organizations and are encouraged to apply for nationally recognized scholarships and grants, such as Fulbright, CBYX, Fulbright Austria.
