Experiences in Economics

Students of the bachelor of business administration economics major (BBA) study the use of scarce resources to satisfy unlimited wants. The department’s introductory courses meet the need for basic economic and legal understanding in a complex modern society. Upper-division economics and business law courses build upon this foundation. Students of the bachelor of arts in economics major (BA) have the flexibility to design a large part of their curriculum to suit their needs and enter careers in business, government, or education or attain graduate degrees in business, law, or economics. Either focus includes the internship program option to gain field experience. Students have access to the McCoy college of business student success center as well as a variety of options for membership in student organizations.
